This Australian-exclusive exhibition explores the influence, fashion and transformation of aHollywood screen goddess to a princess. See rare film costumes, haute couture gowns, meticulously tailored suits and American casual wear will be featured.
The annual Bendigo Easter Festival will bring great energy to the streets from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 April. Easter Sunday see the world’s longest Imperial Chinese dragon Sun Loong stretch his legs, art fairs, kids entertainment and much more. It isBendigo’s major cultural event – and has been for more than 140 years. Also on Easter Sunday, the Strategem Bendigo Winemakers Festival in Castlemaine brings regional wines together with local produce and live music in a stately garden setting.
See beautifully embroidered Christian robes and regalia when Faith in Fashion comes to The Capital from 11 March – 17 June. Sporting endeavours see cycling hit centre stage for three days from 9–11
March at the Bendigo International Madison event. The Golden Mile Raceday on the 17 March is one of regionalVictoria’s premier race and fashion events. See top jockeys, horses, fashionistas and musicians converge onBendigo. It will incorporate the Bounce Music Festival with international superstar DJ Havana Brown headlining the event.
Around this time foodies will also come from far and wide with the region offering a host of delicious events. There’ll be the new Good Food Train 13–18 March, a Farmer’s Market Picnic 10 March, Mother’s Ruin – Gin Dinner 15 March, Bendigo Olive Fiesta 18 March and the annual Snag, Beer and Bubble Fest 17 March. Also in Heathcote, the Sanguine Estate Music Festival from 9–11 March will provide wine, food and a glorious chamber music sensory extravaganza as well as the popular Heathcote on Show 9 – 11 June.
