Clogging is a misnomer, since it is not performed in clogs but shoes with jingle (or double) taps. Modern clogging is danced to a variety of music from blue grass to rock, pop and country. The Australian Clogging Association National Convention is the premier clogging event of the year in Australia. Each year it is held in different regions on behalf of the ACA. It is a weekend event, with social dancing in the evenings and workshops during the day, catering to all levels of dancers. For non-dancers attending either Friday or Saturday evening Socials the cost is $5.00. For more information or to download a registration form, visit the ACA website at www.cloggingaustralia.com .
