Not only does Bendigo offer the charm and excitement of vibrant regional city life, it also provides the chance to get back to nature through a unique natural heritage.

Bendigo is known as a “City within a Forest”, being completely surrounded by National and Regional Parks.  Box-Ironbark forests have been shaped by over 40,000 years of indigenous involvement, gold fever and more recently, recreation.

There are kilometres of interweaving cycling and walking tracks through the Bendigo bush, many leading to lookouts with breathtaking views of the city and surrounding countryside.  There are also trails throughout the city that highlight the magnificent heritage of this region.

A wide selection of themed, self-guided, Cycling & Walking Trails have been developed to showcase the best of Bendigo.  These trails vary in scenery, level of difficulty, surfaces and distances.

To obtain a selection of our Cycling & Walking Trails brochures please contact the Bendigo Information Centre on 1800 813 153 or or complete our online brochure ordering form at www.bendigotourism.com/brochure.asp
