The Bendigo Tourism Industry Training Program 2008/09

The City of Greater Bendigo in partnership with Bendigo Tourism launched the 2008/09 Bendigo Tourism Industry Training Program in May 2008. Building on the success of the previous year’s Training Program which attracted over 900 participants to a variety of workshops, the 2008/09 Program has been developed and tailored to meet the needs of Industry sectors.

This year’s program offers a wide range of workshops and functions featuring subjects such as Online Marketing, Sustainability, Customer Service, Business Planning, Target Marketing and Networking Opportunities.
  

To assist tourism operators to further strengthen their business and the tourism industry, the City of Greater Bendigo and Bendigo Tourism have both invested into this program. The aim being to provide high quality presenters, and to keep the cost to operators as low as possible, so that they can budget to attend many of the industry training sessions.

 

Sponsors and supporters of the program included VECCI, HMAA, Direct Incite, Tourism Victoria, Victorian State Government and local tourism operators.
