Time Out

Bendigo is a vibrant city where you'll find a harmonious blend of culture, cuisine, arts and architecture.
Event organisers will find a diversity of attractions serving as unique off-site venues and interesting themes for gala dinners, product launches, team-building activities and accompanying persons’ programs. The impressive range of leisure and entertainment options adds to the suitability of Bendigo as a conference and event destination.

Truly unique experiences will make your event memorable.  Go underground at the Central Deborah Gold Mine for cocktails, take a free-fall leap down Australia’s largest vertical slide at Discovery Science & Technology Centre or enjoy canapés surrounded by some of Australia’s finest artworks at Bendigo Art Gallery.  Start the day with a champagne breakfast and a hot air balloon ride - without a doubt the best way to gain a birds-eye view of this fabulous city.

Natural bushlands surround Bendigo, giving it the title of ‘City within a Forest’.  Wildflowers, native animals and breathtaking views make exploring a superb experience.   Cycling and walking trails are a great team-building option for your event.  Trail maps and guides are available to weave through the forests, where you’ll often pass historic sites.
Vibrant restaurants, cafes and wine bars that showcase the talented people and quality regional produce of the region are aplenty.  Ranging from contemporary and eclectic cafés, to fine dining and many varied cuisines including Thai, Indian, Mexican, Italian and Chinese.  Something to tempt all tastes!

Exceptional wines, particularly big reds, come from Bendigo’s deep, rich soils.  Bendigo’s winemakers produce impressive, award-winning wines.  Over 30 wineries surround Bendigo, making it simple to visit a cellar door outlet.  It is not uncommon to meet the winemakers, sleeves rolled-up and tending to the vines.   We have four Winery Cycling Trails that are ideal for delegates who may be looking for some exercise – no mention wonderful wine.

The following attractions are true Bendigo highlights and these are just some of the options for adding that point of difference to your event.  Consider these as places for dining, partying or playing with a difference.
