From robust, fully-flavoured reds to elegant whites, the wines from Bendigo’s gold-bearing soils are a wine lover’s treasure.

Regular visitors to the region fondly refer to it as “The Winemakers’ Region”, knowing it is not uncommon to meet the winemakers, sleeves rolled up, tending vines or working in the winery.

Cellar door outlets are frequently run by members of the family and the atmosphere is casual and friendly. To make your way around the wineries of the region there is handy guides for you.

To meander from winery to winery you can cycle through the beautiful natural environment by choosing one of four Winery Cycling Trails to explore the highlights of the region. You are bound to find the experience of Bendigo’s wine and food is pure gold.
