A visit to the cellar door (just 15 minutes from the centre of Bendigo) virtually guarantees an informative conversation with someone with hands-on knowledge of the vines as well as the wines, since the owners - brothers Paul and George Greblo - reside on the estate and it's an "all in the family" business.

To emphasise the fact that their wines are not "manufactured", the Greblos offer vertical tastings of their Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon so that wine buffs can perceive for themselves the interplay of climate, soil, seasonal conditions and age of the vines.

Our 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon and 2004 Fringe Cabernet Sauvignon both won silver medals at the 2006 Boutique Wines of Australia Show.

Directions:

At the lights at the top of View Street, turn left and follow signs to Marong. Turn right at the Marong Hotel, cross Bullock Creek and turn right into Forest Drive. At the dog-leg (approx 300 mtrs in), bear left along Forest Drive. After approx 800 mtrs Sandhurst Ridge appears on the right.
