Bendigo is Blossoming with Events this Spring

The weather is warming up and it’s time to come out of winter hibernation to experience Bendigo come alive with this spring event line up. 


Bendigo Uncorked Week

Join us for a week of boutique wine and food experiences showcasing our local winemakers at Bendigo Uncorked Week.  

Choose from incredible wine dinners, tastings with a wine-themed movie, a jazz & wine afternoon, and a selection of niche events to indulge and educate your senses.

Poppet Bendigo 

For one night only on October 20, gather under the stars and immerse yourself in a rich tapestry of visual storytelling.   Poppet Bendigo is a spectacular performance event that interweaves aerial dance, interactive animation, massive projections, shadow puppetry and an epic sound score. 


Open House Bendigo 

From October 27-28, Open House Bendigo will see a series of private homes, commercial and civic buildings and buildings of architectural significance open their doors for viewing.  Access the former Bendigo Mining Exchange (The Beehive), Bendigo Law Courts, Bendigo Hospital and many more iconic buildings and spaces that are not normally open to the public. 


The Jayco Bendigo Cup

On Wednesday October 31, Bendigo Jockey Club comes alive with its pristine green lawns, some of Australia’s best trainers and riders and fashionistas taking part in Fashions on the Fields in the hive of activity that is The Jayco Bendigo Cup


Bendigo Bank Fun Run 

Are you looking for a challenge?  Set to take place on an iconic CBD course past heritage building and streetscapes, the Bendigo Bank Fun Run on November 4 gives you the choice of multiple distance events and optional colour powder stations all while raising funds for our regional hospital, Bendigo Health Foundation. 


Bendigo Blues & Roots Music Festival

From November 8 – 11, the Bendigo Blues & Roots Music Festival  will feature 140 blues and roots acts at 50 venues.  Pack a picnic rug for the daylong family-friendly concert in Rosalind Park or choose to slip into a laneway, step into a church or step into a church or descend a staircase below street level to experience a treasure trove of discovery, regardless of your musical persuasions.

Why not take the slow way home and stop by Wine Down Sunday.  Set at some of Heathcote's most picturesque locations each with a unique wine, food and music offering.
