A Promise of Barmen: Tales of Liquid Friendship

Every community has it’s stories. The Rocks on Rosalind cocktail community have their own stories to tell, led by the 2 best story tellers around; Rocks’ director and local cocktail champion Finn Vedelsby and Former Australian Bar Manager of the year now Rocks manager, Tim Wastell who have been great mates for more than a decade. Together Finn and Tim invite you to 'A Promise of Barmen: Tales of Liquid Friendship', and to become part of the Rocks cocktail community as they take you on a wild ride of incredible cocktails, unbelievable drink culture storytelling and a history lesson with a difference.

Food Fossickers presents ‘Welcome to our Kitchens’, Bendigo’s first movable edible feast, it celebrates some of Central Victoria’s best local produce and brings our food community together. Guided by our passionate local Food Fossickers, you will discover Central Victoria’s artisanal food gold in Bendigo as you make your way around five venues. Sample some of the best produce you can get in Central Victoria at venues who are proud supporters of local produce. Hear from the chef and producers as they unveil the flavours and stories of our food region.

Bridgeward Grove Swags Snags & Tucker Bags

Relive the history of iconic Australian story, Waltzing Matilda, through a unique marionette performance, “Swagman’s Luck”. Enjoy a traditional swagman’s menu with locally grown produce and an opportunity to purchase local wines, ciders and crafted beer from the fully licensed bar. Blues Tram and Underground Banquet 

Date: 23 March and 25 March

Immerse yourself in the everyday of Bendigo's community, cruise past historic streetscapes aboard the Bendigo Blues Tram, while experiencing an up-close-and-personal performance, from two of Victoria’s finest contemporary artists, before returning to our local ‘rock star’ restaurant for Friday dinner or Sunday lunch. Begin with a beverage at ‘Rocks’, before ambling down to the Bendigo Blues Tram to enjoy the sublime music talent of the first artist then return to the restaurant, to feast on a three-course banquet with six shared savoury dishes and dessert selection to die for, while a second artist performs during your meal.

Regional Worlds Longest Lunch – Bendigo

Beneath the canopy of heritage trees in Bendigo’s Rosalind Park the Bendigo Winegrowers' Association will present six courses of regionally sourced food prepared by Wine Bank on View, each course matched with our regional wines chosen by a panel of home-grown sommeliers and wine aficionados. Bendigo’s soil once provided the city's wealth through gold. Today, that same soil is helping to produce the rich diversity of wine and food to be unveiled at our annual World’s Longest Lunch.
